When I win, I will have some new neighbors-all of you. I think I would make a grayt neighbor from what I have learned on this board in the last year or so. I would go to Culinary Institute of America, Fullsail Recording arts school and get degrees in music and english lit. I would get a house in, make that near my hometown of Memphis and one on the beaches of SOWAL. I would buy my wife her dream car-fully tricked out Saab convertible and I would have a muscle car convertible & some kinda old school british bike. I would also have a recording studio in or near the house. I would get a couple of regular gas savers to zoom around in and random small toys like surf boards, guitars and a TV that's not 16 years old. I would get a personal remote control for my TV so I can find the thing every once in a while and of course do the normal stuff - pay off the kinfolks houses, college funds for the nephews, neices, cousins and daughters. I would support keep music in schools and set up culinary college grants. All of this has been written down for a couple of years so in my haze the day after tomorrow, I'll have a checklist and a big bottle of advil & go to town checking all of those things off of the list.
Of course I have always said I know when I will win, It will be the day before my fatal heart attack:blink:.

"I'd buy a big house where we all could live" comes to mind.....WASHAWAY! Would you let me quit my job and come cook for you full time? :D

I would buy the Washaway too :D, pay off my parents' and siblings debts and mortgages, have enough $$ to live comfortably, random acts of kindness (I like this idea, Minnie) and then I would set up the rest in trust for my kids. OH...travel I would HAVE to travel!!!

If SJ wins, maybe he could set aside a corner of NatureWalk Park for SoWallers to park their Airstreams. It would be a party every night!

This will sound odd--because who doesn't like oodles of money--but I hope I never win that much. We (meaning Merman and me) waste money when it comes our way. When my grandmother died we got a bit and we promptly burned through $10K on Persian carpets, which, ten years later, are all cat-clawed to pieces and don't match the paint on the walls. I'm waiting for Philippa to graduate from college and get her first apartment so I can "gift" her with several. ;-)

However, if by some random strike of the universe I did win a gazillion, I'd teach someone to fish. Not really fish of course, but like that saying "if you give a person to fish, you feed him for a day; if you teach him to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." One of the few things in life that make me sad is the waste of human potential. Think of all those bright kids out there who by no fault of their own don't have the opportunity to advance themselves. Maybe it's living in a broken family, maybe it's living in a bad school district...whatever. They're the kids who fall through the cracks and what humankind misses out on because they haven't been given a helping hand is tragic. I'd use my beaucoup bucks to somehow fill the cracks. Who knows? Maybe a "rescued" kid could grow up to be a doctor or an inventor or a magnificent singer or maybe even an honest and compassionate polititian. The possibilities are endless with a little bit of cash to grease the wheel. I think philanthopy with won money is a win/win situation.

I agree when I win, because I will one day I've already made a promise with the Guy upstairs that I will give half of whatever I win away, no matter how much or how little. I won $80.00 last year and gave 40.00 to a friend who needed it. Even when I win 5.00 I give half away to someone who needs it.

And after that. I'd put it away....don't think I'd change a thing. There are days I feel like I have won the lottery. How many people get to live in their very favorite place in the world, and get to do what they love to do for work???

oh ... of course I'd take care of my boys. And there have been people in my life that have made a huge impression on me....for those people, I'd love to just show up and hand them a Big Ol' Check and say..... Thanks :)

15 people from the town I am from in Ohio just won 207 million in the Mega Millions Lottery and I know at least one of them!! I'm so happy for them and the fact that it will also generate about 2 million in taxes to the local school district!

I recently saw an advertisement stating that Florida is now going to have the PowerBall in January!

That makes me happy!

That can be arranged, and I would add a tenting section for people, without RVs, who wish to camp. First, someone needs to buy me that winning ticket.:rotfl:
