Oh my, I am glad you mentioned the boars because by "big ones" I meant the sows. You can not eat the wild boar. The taste would be terrible. Nothing you can do with the wild boar but remove.
Kind of changing the subject but does anyone know why you can not eat the catfish in the bay? Is it the taste or something else that I am not aware of. I love channel catfish from fresh water and these bay cats look a lot like channel catfish. Just wondering...
A lot of parts of Choctaw Bay have high bacteria levels because of a combination of improper sewer discharge and fertilizer runoff after storms. That could tie into the fish issues, I guess.

Okay, I'll admit that we slowed to almost a stop on the way back from lunch in Shalimar today because there was a coyote trotting along the side of the road just south of the AF Armnament Museum. We've never seen a live one 'in the wild' before.
Why's everybody so mean to the pigs with all the killing and slaughter and destroying them talk - it's BABIES for crying out loud! Ugly babies, sure, but I was an ugly baby once!
They're a hugely destructive non-native species that destroys native species both directly and indirectly. They simply don't belong here.

I love the rhetoric about killing them because they could destroy turtle nest. With that kind of mind set perhaps we should consider the same action with turdist. THEY create more damage to the nest and beaches by far....
Of course no one would even consider that since they bring in big revenue to the pockets of the locals... I guess that makes it ok
