I guess my 10 year old lawn mower is toast. This morning I was all gooned up for the season's first yard mowing; but after about 50 unsuccessful "pulls" and various other "fiddlings", I finally discovered the crack in the primer button. I'm not mechanically astute (Duct tape did not work!) ... so I'm resigned to just saying puck it & go buy a new mower.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good value (is under $200 possible??), easy start, gas, walk (trudge) behind rotary mower? :dunno:

gussifunn loves his snapper.. we also have one from walmart that he got for like 100 that works fine... you could also by a couple cows and you can get milk, meat, fertilizer, and a lawn mower...

Get a weed whacker and make a day of it.

More like make a WEEK of it.
I have a weed whacker... the string got bungled when I pushed the envelope & tried to whack a sapling oak with it. I can't get the guard off to restring it. :bang:

Told ya I wasn't mechanically inclined!!!

I bought a John Deer 4 yrs ago and is heads and tails above any other mower I have ever owned; ( although I have not owned a Honda) :D

I'll bet it's great... unfortunately,
JD is more than a bit out of my price range.

I've pretty much had my lifetime fill of cow-on-the-hoof (unless it's cow on MY hoof).:D

So....Tell me more about this $100 Walmart 'works fine' mower!! Brand, engine make, power, lifespan, etc.
I'd read that Snapper isn't all that reliable...
