Right here!
Gov. Rick Scott now says he'd like collective bargaining removed from Constitution - St. Petersburg Times

So, where do you think this is going? How much more damage will the people of Florida let happen to our state?

Didn't sound like he was suggesting removing it, he just commented it would make things simpler.

Generally though, what damage has the governor caused to the state? He cut back on costs, proposed a bold budget that resets the bar on spending and taxation, cancelled yet another attempt at Boondoggle Rail, and is currently working on overhauling regulation within the state. All in all a pretty good start IMHO.

a very steep slippery slope IMO.

just depends on your frame of reference--and much wiser people than I are very concerned.

Because many legal scholars think he's crossed the line between executive and legislative power and gone against state law in some of those actions. And the thing is that he probably could have accomplished 90% of that list by going through the legal and proper means once the overwhelmingly Republican state legislature went into session.

You won't find 4 on this forum but here is one. I really seriously considered Sink until all the dirty rhetoric started coming out from sources like the Florida Police Benevolent Assn and others. I'm with 30ashopper in what he has done so far I mostly agree. I don't agree with his expansion of the executive branch. Oh, and come to a Tea Party meeting and I'll introduce you to a bunch who "like the guy".

Andy for the record he did start the dirty rhetoric.

I'd love to come to a Tea Party meeting, but I don't associate with criminals.

SWGB, this is one of the lowest post you have ever entered, bar none.
To equate me, my associates and those associated with the TEA Party as criminals is even beyond your usual degree of nonsensibility. When you have done something really good for this country, as many of these fine citizens have, let me know. Until then, I'll be hopeful that the calling of TEA Party members criminals was due to too much to drink or thoughtlessness on your part. It was completely uncalled for.

Nope, the leadership of the local tea party are criminals, they have broken/violated state law on several occasions.

I would suggest you read up on state election law.

SWGB, I'll say only this. First of all, I don't know what you're talking about and secondly, there are a lot of retired military who attend those meetings. I am one of them and while I may have skirted the law now and then, I am anything but a criminal and neither are they. If you don't like the TEA Party, fine, but quit calling people criminals because they believe in their principles. If you can prove your assumption, by all means, file a complaint with the proper authorities.
One thing more. I was pleased to see you return to posting. I have not read one post by you that was worthwhile to me since you returned. I withdraw my "pleased".
