I figured as much. However, I am sure that is someone house and we will offend them for real. Again, the saying about opinions....
I was just being silly.;-)

But, you know, no matter what the topic, there will be people who agree, people who disagree, and people who don't care. No matter what opinion one expresses, it's bound to step on someone's toes. So, the way I figure it is that you can't worry about it. You just have to let the criticism roll off your back. That's more difficult for some who are thin-skinned (like me) than others.

I still don't like the ductwork even though this house is someone else's brother's.

Well, the duct work is there, whether it's enclosed in big ugly, rectangular boxes running along the ceilings or exposed au naturel. I don't find it unappealing at all. It's just a clean, spartan look, imo. Just different decorating styles.

What I don't care for is the exterior.

Whether you think it's ugly or pretty doesn't really matter. I assume the owners love it or they wouldn't have designed it that way. They better like it because at $4.9 million or anywhere remotely close to $4.9 million it will never ever sell.

Location, location, location. It will sell....things are selling--not like before, but they are selling.

But the ugly duct work and the "A" Frame that chops up a nice gulf view may considerably cut down on what few qualified buyers there are in the market.

IMO, the duct work looks like an after-thought. Reminds me of an episode of an HGTV show called "Dream Builders" where a man jumped through all types of hoops to build a home in a Historic District of South Carolina--it took months and months for the architect to draw and re-draw the plans to get approval of the Historical Committee. Finally the plans were approved, the foundation poured, the home was framed and sheeted and only then did they realize that they forgot to include HVAC!

I've seen many floor plans for homes in WaterColor where the architect forgot to include closets for A/C and hot water heater. It happens way too often.

I really like that the exterior is unique and the interior of the home, although not something I like, is also unique and someone will find it attractive I'm sure .... but ... the price! I may be in the minority but I have been in sticker shock for the last 3 years. $4.9 million for 2500+ sq.ft (and I acknowledge it is gulf front) on a lot of what size??

Hate to be a contrarian, but I LOVE this house. I'd rather see the ductwork than have the ceilings lowered to box it up. I love the big, open spaces...and the light. Can you imagine watching the light change over the course of the day? :clap_1:
