Indeed, at one time I could actually consider voting Republican depending on who was running. Not in this environment though, no way.
This should tickle your racist loving heart.ACB for life! (See what I did there?) That has got to be painful for the blew krew on Sowal.
The destruction of the Republican party will likely hurt all Americans down the line. A single party dominating will eventually jump the tracks. A free press and an opposition party may keep us on track but too much has always happened behind closed doors in American politics.
There will be a big push to resurrect the GOP. I doubt it will ever be back to what is was until maybe a new generation comes along to oppose the dems. If it is to be purged of the fringe radicals like proud boys, qanon, christian zaelots, etc they still have to deal with a lot of spineless incumbents. The republican party is no longer. It was destroyed by McConnell and Trump. The lines that define a democracy were crossed and that hurts all of us. The old republican party is now the party of wealth and fear. I would not blame the democrats for jumping the tracks IF they take the executive branch and control the legislative branch however I will always hope that moderate and progressive politics can co-exist. If we the people demand to be represented instead of disrespected there will be no behind closed doors politics. A free press is possible and necessary but please go find one that is free of agenda. I don't think it will happen in my life time but a 3rd political party that stays free of extreme ideology otherwise known as keeping and open mind and centers itself on the middle class will emerge eventually. Until then and for now Biden/Harris will serve that function for ALL Americans.
IDK whether the Republican Party is at its end, but if it is damaged to the point that it may not be a dominate party then I think the opportunity opens for a viable Independent 3rd Party. Probably more Moderate. The destruction of the Republican party will likely hurt all Americans down the line. A single party dominating will eventually jump the tracks.
