Ate dinner next to Karl Rove at Summer Kitchen but didn't speak to him. We have differences, he just didn't get the opportunity to find out.

mr. dd was a huge stevie ray vaughn fan. when he died, we went to the funeral. think...august in dallas, service outside, middle of the afternoon, 106 degrees. Anyway, ZZ Top was there sitting with the family. Toward the end of the service, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and Stevie Wonder stepped up to the microphone and sang Amazing Grace a capella. Very moving moment.

I met Bill Cosby when he was here for a speaking engagement at GCCC. He wasn't a very pleasant person.

Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols however, was surprisingly nice. I met him outside the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.

I waved to JFK, he smiled and waved back (his limo was stopped on the road, and our car, along with a million others, slowly crawled by)

Felix Pappalardi (who produced Cream's "Wheels of Fire" and was in the band Mountain--Mississippi Queen, and was later killed by his wife)

Leslie West (lead guitar for Mountain; he barfed backstage and I helped him)

Shook hands with Pete Townshend; Warren Zevon nodded and smiled at me, ditto Timothy B Schmidt (Eagles.)

I think that's about it; I've *seen* more, but never had any interaction with them.

Bill Cosby has gotten alot of negative things said about him, and most resulting after speaking engagements. Loved his voice as Fat Albert in the Saturday morning cartoon. It's a shame he is like he is! Isn't that funny that someone like Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols was nicer than Bill Cosby???

Steven Segal has a home here out in Germantown somewhere. His daughter has cancer and she has been receiving treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. So many people were driving down the street he lived on causing traffic jams they ended up having to put a iron gate up at the entrance to the neighborhood to keep all the curious out!

We have seen Isaac Hayes house out in Germantown also but never have seen anyone coming out of the house. He has a nice house!
