Like you said about the clothes. We had to bring our own clothes down to the basement, then once they were washed we had to bring them back up to the bedrooms and put them away. If that wasn't done in a timely fashion, Saturdays were spent in the house helping to clean.I apparently grew up in a parallel dimension - where your clothes only got washed if they appeared in the basement w/ empty pockets at the appointed time and it was your job to get the basket of clean clothes and put them away....................and if you didn't, they no longer got washed for you.
And if you didn't put in your food requests when Papa Scooterbug made the grocery list you were S.O.L. on having any input on meals (but still had to help make them and do the dishes).
