Lots of hype these days about thread count. You have to read real close as to what you are really getting. Real 100% cotton sheets at 200 thread count are much softer than 500 or even 900 thread count Poly/Cotton blend. We have had and enjoyed 200 & 300 R.Lauren 100% Cotton sheets for years.
That's what I am talking about anything 100% cotton. But I got to tell you sleeping on sateen sheets really makes for a good nights sleep! And at under $60.00 they are worth it! www.hsn.com has some great deals on sheet sets!

I'm a QVC gal myself.

I do like the higher thread counts in sheets...but they MUST be 100% cotton. Cold sheets are one of life's little pleasures - even when it's 20 degrees outside and the wind is blowing.

My shivering husband disagrees, but he can always wrap up and stay on the couch. :rotfl:

So if you have two sets of 250 count sheets on your bed, is that better than one set of 500 count?

Don't know what the count of mine are, don't care. But they are Hanes T-shirt 100% cotton that come in a bag. I buy them at Walmart for around $19.99. Best sheets I have ever used!

The best sheets (for those of who endure the long cold winters) are the flannel sheets from Garnet Hill. Whoa momma.

I've read (in those magazines that rate quality) that the quality of the cotton threads is more important than the thread count. I like our jersey sheets best, too, and will try out the Hanes T-shirt ones recommended on this thread. I read t(in one of those magazines that rate quality) that the high count sheets at Target were very good, though I wish I could remember which sheets they were! I think the quality and fit of pillows is at least as important as the sheets.
