My hubby doesn't do the typical stuff, but I find it romantic when he surprises me with lunch at work, or has the laundry washed and put up when I am overloaded...just the daily thoughtful things make me happy. once he surprised me with a beautiful ring....really sweet.

I have to agree, it's more of the day to day stuff. He always tries to unload the dishwasher for me because he knows I hate it. He warms my car up for me in the winter and washes it in the summer and one of the biggest things is he gets up with the kids in the morning and makes breakfast. I'm not an early bird so this is a biggie! It's the little things and I know he'd give me the world if he could.

The Christmas before our 25th anniversary I received a wedding invitation from my husband to OUR wedding. He planned a vow renewal on our June anniversary. We had a wedding ceremony at the church, complete with flowers and musicians, me in a beautiful ivory-colored gown. The reception was at our home with a catered dinner and a string ensemble (that included our daughter and some professional musicians). It was absolutely beautiful and very moving.

He took the diamond from my original engagement ring, found a matching stone, and a much larger one for the middle to make a three-stone diamond ring.

He took me to The Four Seasons in Maui for our honeymoon. After buying a ring like that at Neiman Marcus, the accommodations were free on our InCircle points. And the airline tickets were free because of all of his frequent flyer miles. Of course, we took our darling daughter.

That's a pretty romantic idea, don't you think?

BR, your a lucky lady! Yeah, I would say that's romantic!

Nah, she was an ex-girlfriend, turned friend whom I still had feelings for. That has now passed, as she is now engaged to somone else.

I couldn't agree more! My hubby likes to send flowers to my work for no reason which is wonderful. However, the most romantic thing he does for me is set up the coffee pot so that in the morning I only have to stumble in and turn it on. I am NOT a morning person and this means a lot to me. He will usually put a little post-it note on top with a sweet little message.
That's amore!

my ex is very sentimental...but not romantic...still waiting on someone to romance ME for a CHANGE...I don't think men have it in them.... gonna get some flack from this one....:rotfl:

With busy and hectic schedules not everybody has time for romance. I just try to keep my wife happy, do little things to help her out around the house(dishes, laundry etc.) and make sure she enjoys herself whenever we go anywhere. After 30 years the romance is not dead but is just lurking waiting for the right time to appear. That is always a nice surprise for her.
