My favorite right now is a heavy canvas, long-strap, mini messenger bag with matching wallet from Bungalow 360. It's electric turquoise with pink and white polka dot lining and has stylized kissing pelicans with hearts all over it. It's not on any top ten lists but it's adorable and makes me smile like a lunatic.
I dig it.
The As Seen On TV store has those purse divider thingys. They call 'em a Kangaroo Keeper. I bought two for my mother for Christmas, one in black and one in khaki. I'm sure she loves them...

I saw a thing like that at Ross today.
I love Coach - but only the solid brown leather (not the prints). But my favorite is almost anything Lucky Brand. LOVE Lucky! So cute and practical.

I can't pick just one, I have many great ones!
IMO LV bags (and most other designer bags) are not only ugly, but ridiculously expensive considering the number of knockoffs and what good leather costs. I can fly to Italy and have someone make me a bag for those prices. I'll get a vacation, my bag will be prettier, and it will be unique.
I prefer leather, it needs at least one zippered pocket, it needs to be big enough for all your stuff without looking like you are carrying a diaper bag, and the most I have EVER spent is $120 - for a leather backpack that I have beaten the hell out of, taken everywhere, and love.
I actually like the darker lining because it hides dirt and makeup/ink stains. Instead of plastic bags I have a small cloth bag for makeup and I just dump everything from one bag to another when I switch purses.
I like leather because it can take a beating and is cleanable. Cloth, beads, and feathers I worry about ruining.
One of my favorite dress purses is actually a metallic gold cloth clutch Kit found for me at the PC Goodwill - lots of great pockets and compartments!

I've been carrying LVs since 1975. Like I've said, the LVs last so many years. For example, the bag my daughter "stole" from me is 26 years old. But I understand how some might think they're ugly and overpriced. If everyone liked the same things or had the same opinions, it would be a pretty boring world, right?

love it! I have one really fun bag, no design, just a black feathery type of roll. It's a bag a cross dresser would kill me for.

That's why I like well made leather instead of $$$$ "designer" bags - I've got about 10 purses that I will still be using decades from now - easy guess since I have already had some for a decade and get tons of compliments from strangers.
Mermy and I both love Florence leather a little too much, so I figure I am good with only 3 pairs of gloves and 5 purses......though I don't have a black one yet, just brown, yellow, tobacco, purple, and turquoise.
