I have good news for you and folks who think like you, my friend. Yes, you can...

Last night while Barack Obama was airing his 30 minute political message on other networks, John McCain was being interviewed by Larry King on Larry King Live (CNN)-

LARRY KING: You don't believe Barack Obama is really a socialist, do you?

JOHN MCCAIN: No.

Below is the link to a thread I posted about it. So now that we have cleared this up, go do the right thing and vote for "that one"- he who is not, according to John McCain (despite what Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber want you to think), a socialist...

Oh. So your post and this thread wasn't really that you couldn't vote for Obama because you can't get past the fact that you think he is a socialist...

EDIT: And what are your thoughts on Palin (from an experience perspective)- after all she would be one 72 year old's heartbeat away from the oval office...

You mean time served in prison? If that's the case then there's plenty of qualified candidates in the United States.

You "shot down" my socialist argument...And then asked Why I can't vote for him now....I chose experience....I have others....But then this turns into the same arguemnt as more than half of these threads...I spit out all of the republican/conservative talking points and then I get ganged up on by everyone spitting out all of the liberal/democrat talking points...It's all been said.

I get it. We disagree. That's totally cool and neither of us will change the other's mind... But I didn't know that was the situation. I naively thought when you said, "I just can't do it, I just can't get past this" and then talked about socialism that there were undertones of-

Obama seems okay and as much as I would like to do it (vote for him), I just can't get past the idea that he is a socialist. I thought you hadn't made up your mind and that this was standing in your way...

Or maybe I was just picking a fight...

You're not alone Blair, some south Florida voters who have actually experienced socialism and communism don't like what they see in Obama either.
