If the batty broad (platinum blonde with large cleavage? cmon') leaves florida and heads home out of state then the local sherrif can call in the FBI, or probably wouldn't because of the local crime stats, but you can contact them after a couple of weeks at their local office wherever that may be (panama city or maybe talahasee) and, for what its worth, suggest they look into it.

My bet it's a local and probably in Vertical Real Estate.

Or maybe from Georgia and works at a BMW dealership.

Wal-Mart has security cameras and records everything in the parking lot AND ENTRANCES. Might be worth a shot to remind your insurance company about it.

I'd call all the local BMW dealers Monday morning, including used, looking for that 'good looking salesperson' that you talked to 'last week' about that 'marvelous BMW' that was the same color as the one she drives.

Sorry to hear about your wife's accident. Maybe you want run an ad in the local paper. I think they will do this for free for public service. The driver may
see the ad and turn herself in but the police find her or a witness could come forward.

That is a good idea. I know someone who had their mailbox smashed and was able to get the description of the car and put this info in the local paper. About two weeks passed and someone called to tell my neighbor where the driver lives, he drove out there and found that this was the kid that had destroyed his mailbox with the front end of his car.

Good idea. With the good description you have of both the driver and her car, I'd say there's a pretty good chance someone will recognize this dork.

Sorry to hear about your wife's accident OMB, but the most important this is that she wasn't injured, thank God! Sure hope you find the driver, Good luck!

Thanks hutch, I will try to do that. I believe she may be a local. She was headed across 98 into an area of condos along old 98. I may see if any of the buildings have that type of vehicle registered for their parking lot.

She said she worked for a dealership when she realized my wife was calling 911. She was, I guess, going to maybe try to settle it privately. But she became obnoxious when my wife insisted on calling the police. Then she ran.

I'd run those ads in the NWFL Daily News and in the Destin Log...and I'd call Quality Imports in Ft Walton first thing in the morning. The car may not have come from there, but I'm sure they would be interested in helping you.

Good luck, and I am glad your wife was not injured (physically).

Same thing happened to me and my wife last year. The funny thing is, the hit and run girl lived about a block from my house. :rotfl:

This is just a possibility but you said you had some car part numbers. Those part numbers are usually associated with that specific car. If you track the part number to a VIN number then run a check on the VIN you can get the full service records for the car. Then you might be able to track to the dealership in the area to find her. I will do some checking with a friend that owns a BMW repair shop to see if he might have some insight to finding this person.

I know this is a long shot, but................

My wife was heading east on Hwy 98 at Henderson Beach Rd (near Wal-Mart) around 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1st. A lady hit her broadside, stopped to talk to my wife to see if she was ok, then got back in her car and took off. No one stopped to help.

The car that hit her was a silver BMW, possibly a 5 series built between 1997-2000. The BMW completely lost its front bumper and other parts. The front bumper contained a license plate with only a BMW decal. The lady appeared to be in her 50's with blond hair, large cleavage, and said she worked for a dealership. She may have been drinking before the accident.

Anyone with any information please pm me. Thanks.
