I'm getting ready to get on our local library website and reserve some books to pick up next week. Would love some recommendations for gardening, cooking, and traveling, or any other non-fiction to supplement my fiction requests.

Just thought of another subject- Wine-----

The Rachel Ray Cooking Rocks! Thirty minute meals for kids! For you and Kate. :) My daughter has it and it has some pretty good recipes in it. One of our favorites is the cheese fondue w/granny smith apples. Yummy.

The Amazon reviews of The Fair Tax Book make interesting reading themselves!

And yes---it's cold outside. Jamie Oliver has good recipes of this time of year. And he's cute.

Garlic and Sapphires is a great book for foodies! And if you still haven't read The Tender Bar, hurry up!

I am currently reading "The City of Falling Angels" by the author of "Midnight In the Garden Of Good And Evil"- John Berendt. "Running with Scissors" by Augesten Burroughs - very disturbing but couldn't put it down.

I also recommend "Garlic and Sapphires".

I Should Have Stayed Home (Worst Trips of Great Writer edited by Roger Rapoport, absolutely hilarious, lol, makes all your trips seem paradise.

A woman's World, Travelers Tales, MaryBeth Bond, thought provoking, a window into women of other countries.

And anything by Bill Bryson, Notes from A Small Island, In a Sunburned Country.
