Helen Balance Art Exhibit at Coastal Branch Library

As part of the continuing Art in Public Places, Helen Balance will display her work at the Coastal Branch Library for the month of August, 2018.

Free for the public.

Helen has always loved the arts in all its’ forms but didn’t become a painter until age 40.  At that point she became so passionate about creating fine art that she just wanted to explore all she could and then share what was learned from this life changing experience.  As part of a vibrant homeschool group Helen became a drama coach and art teacher.

Helen states, "I have learned to let a painting tell it’s own story. Many times I have a complete composition in mind, but if I allow the painting to decide where it wants to go then the magic happens." 

Recognizing the need in our community to grow the arts and utilizing my education in Mass Communications/ Public Relations, Helen founded Beach Art Group in Panama City Beach: beachartgroup@att.net

Reading with a Ranger on the First Thursday of the month at 10am. This program takes place at the Walton County Coastal Branch Library (437 Greenway Trail). A fun story time for children to learn about nature with a Park Ranger. FREE and open to all SoWal kids! Thanks to Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Rangers!

South Walton Coastal Branch Library hosts year round events such as book sales, community programs and lectures, children's story time, chess, tai chi, meditation and other classes open to the community. Stop in to see works of a local artist on display each month.
