Pending Sales in Rosemary Beach Up 350%

August 10, 2010 by Murray Balkcom

Recently, I reported that the pending sales for South Walton homes, condos and townhomes increased 66% in July. (Remember that pending sales are properties under contract which have not yet closed.)  A closer examination of the home, condo, and town home sales reported to ECAR reveals that the pending sales in Rosemary Beach increased 350% in July compared to June.

WaterColor, a St Joe development, didn’t fair as well as Rosemary Beach, though WaterColor still shows results much better than average in South Walton, with a 100% increase in pending home, condo and town home sales for the month of July, compared to the previous month.
Sales in another local St Joe development, WaterSound, showed pending sales reported to ECAR for homes, condos, and town homes, remaining steady with June.
Buyers are finding value in many properties and are confident in the local real estate market, and these pending sales show just that. If these pending sales go to close, we should see some positive sales results coming soon.
All sales data referenced above is provided by Emerald Coast Association of Realtors and is thought to be accurate but not guaranteed.
