Central Square Cinema Outdoor Movie Series Continues at Seaside in September

September 4, 2012 by SoWal Staff

The outdoor movie series at Seaside this summer was so successful, that they're continuing into the fall with four classic favorites. In the Seaside amphitheater, starting at 8:00pm, bring your low back chairs, blanket, and cooler and make it a family affair in the great outdoors. The September weather is perfect in SoWal and what better way to enjoy an evening outside than watching a great movie with friends and family. See the September schedule below:

September 7 – Rudy
Rudy is a 1993 American sports film directed by David Anspaugh. It is an account of the life of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, who harbored dreams of playing football at the University of Notre Dame, despite significant obstacles. It stars Sean Astin as the title character, along with Ned Beatty, Jason Miller, and Charles S. Dutton.

September 14 - Breakfast at Tiffany's
Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic 1961 romantic comedy starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard. Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naïve, eccentric cafe society girl is generally considered to be the actress' most memorable and identifiable role.

September 21 - Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump is an Academy Award-winning, 1994 American epic comedy-drama romance film, based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The film starring Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, and Sally Field depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, a naïve and slow-witted yet athletically prodigious native of Alabama, who witnesses, and in some cases influences, some of the defining events of the latter half of the 20th century; more specifically, the period between Forrest's birth in 1945 to 1982.

September 28 - E.T.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (often referred to simply as E.T.) is a 1982 American science fiction film co-produced and directed by Stephen Spielberg, and starring Henry Thomas, Dee Wallace, Drew Barrymore, and Peter Coyote. It tells the story of Elliott (played by Thomas), a lonely boy who befriends an extraterrestrial, dubbed "E.T.", who is stranded on Earth. Elliott and his siblings help the extraterrestrial return home while attempting to keep it hidden from their mother and the government.
