Vine to Wine Kicks Off Taste of The Beach Aug 23

Taste of The Beach is uncorking its 2013 lineup and the three-day event kicks off with Vine to Wine - A Wine Preview on August 23 at Seascape Resort's ballroom from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Vine to Wine will have tastings of more than 250 wines to be featured during Taste of The Beach, which runs from Nov. 1 through 3. For $55 (buy tickets online), guests will have the opportunity to sample the judges’ selection for best of show (red and white), along with gourmet foods.

“Vine to Wine sets the tone for Taste of The Beach with an unparalleled wine tasting and culinary walkabout. It’s a great introduction for the events we will host in early November, showcasing all South Walton has to offer while we raise money for local charities,” said Wendy Morton, Taste of The Beach board member and vice president of operations of the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Taste of The Beach was founded in 2008 to highlight the area’s beaches, culture, and restaurants with unique wine events and a charity auction. Additional events for Taste of The Beach 2013, which is sponsored by SoWal.com, include Al Fresco Reserve Tasting in Ruskin Place in Seaside on Nov. 1; After Dark…The Experience at Gulf Place on Nov. 1; Seeing Red Wine Festival in Seaside on Nov. 2; and the Taste of The Beach & Charity Auction at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa on Nov. 3.

Taste of The Beach 2013 consists of nine events at several of the area’s resort destinations. In its sixth year, Taste of The Beach is a collaborative effort between the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce and Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF).
