30A Wine Festival at Alys Beach March 6-8

Wine lovers will gather in Alys Beach for the fourth annual 30A Wine Festival on Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8, 2015. Located on Scenic Highway 30A in Northwest Florida’s South Walton County, Alys Beach will welcome renowned vintners and local culinary favorites for a three-day celebration benefiting Children’s Volunteer Health Network. Friday, March 6
Bourbon, Beer & Butts,
6-9 p.m.
Kelly Green The festival kicks off with a night of bourbon, beer, and barbecue tastings. Featuring distilleries from across the country, local breweries, and barbecue from local pitmasters, attendees can eat and drink while listening to live music from singer-songwriter Eric Lindell. Admission is included in the purchase of a weekend pass or individual tickets can be purchased for $60. Tickets are limited.
Saturday, March 7
Baby Blue Blending Seminar
Kelly Green
11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Blue Rock Vineyard owner Kenny Kahn will teach guests how to create their own blended wine, share the history of the vineyard, and more. Weekend passes do not grant access to this event. Tickets are limited and must be purchased separately for $100 per person or $500 per table of six.
Riedel Tasting Workshop
Arboleda Park
11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Riedel will host a workshop demonstrating the difference in aromas and flavor profiles of four varietals with a non-Riedel glass compared to Riedel’s varietal glasses. Weekend passes do not grant access to this event. Tickets are limited and must be purchased separately for $100 per person and include a tasting kit with a selection of 24 percent lead crystal Riedel glasses.
Wine Seminars
Caliza Pool
1:30–3:30 p.m. Additional seminars will be hosted at Caliza Pool by Sanglier Cellars, Prime Cellars, and Broadbent Selections. Admission is included in the purchase of a weekend or Saturday pass.
Grand Tasting
North Sea Garden Walk

Wine Under the Stars
Fire Pit Park
6–8 p.m. The festival’s official after party will feature wine, light bites, and live music from local Santa Rosa Beach band Fearless Heights. Admission is included in the purchase of a weekend or Saturday pass.
Sunday, March 8
Fruits de Mer & Sancerre
11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Kelly Green The festival will come to a close over a seafood sampling from Caliza chef Kevin Korman and Café Thirty-A chef Ken Duenas paired with Sancerre varietals from select wineries. The third annual Croquet Tournament will take place on Kelly Green, and all festival-goers are encouraged to participate and wear their best whites. Guests will enjoy live music from acoustic rock singer and Northwest Florida native Kyle LaMonica. Admission is included in the purchase of a weekend pass.
