ABC Fine Wine & Spirits Grand Opening in Destin Apr 30

Celebrating the opening of the first ABC Fine Wine & Spirits in Destin and second location west of Tallahassee, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening will be held at the store’s 140th location.  

The public is invited to the ABC Fine Wine & Spirits Grand Opening Celebration on Thursday, April 30 from 6:30-  8:30 p.m. The grand opening includes a sampling of more than 50 wines, 12 craft beers, select spirits and gourmet food, for a $10 donation. Locally-made ready-to-drink cocktail No. 850 will be available for purchase and samples will be provided during the grand opening. John T. Hatfield and Jim McCoy, makers of Hatfield & McCoy Whiskey and descendants of the feuding Hatfields & McCoys of West Virginia, will be signing bottles of their product.

Participating restaurants include Brotula's Seafood House & Steamer, Jackacudas Seafood & Sushi, Lenny's Subs and Marlin Grill.

ABC Fine Wines & Spirits will also be presenting an oversized check to local non-profit Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, an organization dedicated to providing a home away from home to military families facing medical crisis.  
 

 
At 13,000-square-feet, the new store will be bigger than the average ABC store, and it will feature an 18-door beer cooler and offer over 500 beers, 5,000 wines, 2,000 rare and popular spirits, 400 cigars, gourmet foods, custom gift baskets, glassware and other related items.    

Locally brewed craft beers sold at the Destin store will include Grayton Beer of South Walton, Pensacola Bay Brewery, Oyster City Brewing of Apalachicola and Idyll Hounds Brewery of Santa Rosa.

 
“We’re excited to be here in Destin. We initiated our commitment to this community years ago with plans to get involved in the Sandestin Wine Festival," CEO Charles Bailes, III, said.    

"Now we are in our third year participating in the festival and we want to intensify our commitment by establishing a physical presence in the community with this new store. We’re bringing something unique with the store’s ‘growler bar,’ wine tasting taps and walk-in humidors for fine cigars.”

Anyone can enter to purchase their favorite wines. Tickets are required to participate in the wine festival but the Village and retail tent remain open to the general public throughout the weekend.
 
The new Destin store is located at 34715 Emerald Coast Parkway and will be open seven days a week. All guests entering the store must be 21 years of age or older.
