The Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization in Florida. Formed in February 2015, we are dedicated to the importance of nurturing and protecting sea turtles and sea life along the beaches and habitats of South Walton County, extending into Bay and Okaloosa Counties in the panhandle of Florida.
Through education efforts and information campaigns targeting tourists and residents, we aim to increase awareness of the delicate balance that exists between the land and sea, in order to protect sea turtles and the sea life and habitats they depend on.
By increasing awareness and education, we hope to positively impact the actions of locals and visitors to increase turtle and nest safety.
