The Great Southern Café fuses Southern cooking with flavors from around the world. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, Great Southern is located on Central Square in downtown Seaside, Florida. Offering both inside and outside porch seating, as well as a vibrant bar scene on the outside covered deck, Great Southern is the perfect place to relax and take in the lively scene of one of South Walton’s most beloved towns.

Award-winning chef and owner, Chef Jim Shirley and his team are widely respected for their seamlessly quality fare. Whenever possible, the culinary team sources ingredients locally – fresh produce from nearby farms and fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico. Great Southern is a place for seafood, steaks, veggies, handmade burgers, hearty Southern breakfast, and oysters from the raw bar. The Grits a Ya Ya are a must try and their Sunday brunch is a tradition for locals & visitors.

Great Southern Café has earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and Chef hand selects the wine list himself. One of the best happy hours in SoWal happens daily from 3-5pm, and the porch is the perfect place to relax with one of their world-famous mojitos after a long day on the beach.
