Inaugural Choctawhatchee River Festival at Morrison Springs May 13

Come on down to the river on May 13 from 10am to 4pm for the first ever Choctawhatchee River Fest at Morrison Springs, presented by Riverway South

Nature lovers of all ages will enjoy a variety of fun and educational activities throughout the day in celebration of our magnificent river. Take a dip in the cool spring waters, throw a line and hook a fish by the riverside, hop aboard for a boat ride and experience nature's glory.

Activities also include a kids' casting rally sponsored by Bass Pro Shops. Take a paddle in a canoe, kayak or on a paddleboards; and peddle a hydrobike sponsored by Old Cypress Canoe Rentals and Emerald Coast Hydrobikes. Walton Outdoors will be onsite to assist with water events and share recreation opportunities along the River. Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, Northwest Florida Water Management District, Bay County Audubon Society and Paddle Florida will have educational and interactive displays. Take time to check out the display with information on the Choctawhatchee River Trail improvement project. Black Creek Café will be providing food and drink, including hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork and drinks.
