Red Snappers Every Day

May 29, 2017 by Larry Pentel

The long awaited steady opening of Red Snappers finally came Saturday and there were lots caught.

Some pretty darn big ones too! Now if we can just get this weather to realize it's Summer time and it's supposed to be calm we'll have it all.

Prior to yesterday we have been catching lots of Vermillions along with Kings and Mahi as our target species with great catches of them as well.

It hasn't taken but just few Red snapper trips to remind me how good Gals are catchin' the big ones. Guys, don't get jealous, just be happy for a great catch for your significant other, sister or daughter.... Here's a few pics of catches where the Gal got the big 'un.

This fellow had resigned to getting out gunned Snapper fishing before we even started.

The gal that got the big one on this board has a history of out fishing the family.

Black Snapper and Scamp to go with the Reds.

Before Red Snappers opened up I had some families with some big hauls of other critters.

The weather gurus claim we will start a "normal" Summer weather pattern on Wednesday this week. I am sure looking forward to a a stretch of calm.... It is a lot easier fillin' the box when the boat isn't rockin' and rollin'!
