A Superior AC Company Expanding Facilities & Charitable Giving

October 17, 2017 by Manny Chavez

While keeping his customers “cool as a cucumber” for the past 15 years, Jimy Thorpe’s A Superior Air Conditioning Company continues to offer excellent service and give back to our community.

With residential and commercial HVAC customers The maintenance plans also include various discounts for any necessary repairs, heating and cooling equipment, HVAC accessories, and service fees.

“It’s not just about purchasing a maintenance plan for your HVAC system,” explains Jimy. “It’s about saving you money. Every call is  important and we want to make sure that everyone we connect with becomes an ambassador.”

Jimy, along with General Manager Payton Davidson and Service Manager Josh Heverly, can cohesively manage their technicians for their 24-hour, 7-day-a-week emergency service. They “get it done” and spread out between Fort Walton Beach and Mexico Beach, he just recently opened another office/warehouse space on Hwy. 393 North. The space is huge and Jimy just happened to know the right company to do his AC work! The space is largely empty now, but will soon fill up with inventory.

“We’ve been super busy this summer with our August installs, sales, and service numbers doubling what we did last August, says Jimy.  “Now, going into the fall and winter months, we will be concentrating on our preventative maintenance plans.”

A Superior AC customers can purchase their Preventative Maintenance Plan for $150 (standard plan) or $200 (bonus plan) whereby both the indoor and outdoor units and duct work are inspected twice a year. With the Bonus Plan, a clothes dryer vent cleaning is included.

“Clothes dryer venting maintenance is often overlooked,” explains Jimy. “Dryer vents need to be cleaned out periodically and we use a unique HEPA filtration system with three motors connected to a “Y” connected to the pipe. So, while the machine is sucking, we are taking a brush and going all the way to the exterior and all the way back.  All lint and dust is removed.”

Without regular servicing, heating and cooling systems waste energy and are more likely to break down more frequently. re their customers are 100% satisfied with their work. The A Superior AC technicians are trained in the installation and repair of a multitude of brands including Trane, Carrier, American Standard, Lennox, Goodman, York, and Mitsubishi Electric.

Working with A Superior AC is a win-win-win situation: the customer wins, A Superior AC wins, and, most of all, local charities win. At the beginning of 2017, Jimy started what is called the Choose Your Charity program. This program allows all A Superior AC customers to choose a non-profit charity that will receive a donation from the proceeds of any product or service performed for them.

“We set a goal of $50,000 for this year, and after the third quarter, we are over $40,000,” explains Jimy. “Our customers can choose any non-profit charity in Northwest Florida to donate to. Thus far, we have donated to over 75 non-profits across Bay, Walton, and Okaloosa counties. All customers are encouraged to spread the word about our charity program so that we can continue to make an impact on our local non-profit community.”

All non-profits receiving a donation are informed of which customer selected them as a beneficiary.

Another continuing charity program that Jimy started is the Vets Helping Vets and First Responders Program which is open to any active duty military, military veteran, or first responder. As an Army Iraq War veteran, he feels a need to serve the local veteran community by giving away a complete heat and air system to eight (two per quarter) local military/first responder families. Complete installation is included and applications are made online through the A Superior AC website, www.asuperiorac.com Winners are decided by the American Legion Post 392. Jimy takes it a little further by offering a 15% discount all day, every day, on both equipment and services to all active military and veterans.

With Summer winding down, thoughts of AC comfort may be fading, but now is the time to make sure your HVAC system is maintained with proper servicing by experienced technicians. A Superior AC will take your call, 24 hours a day! For more info, please call 850-258-3225.
