Baytowne Beer Festival Rolling Out The Barrel Oct. 19-20

October 15, 2012 by SoWal Staff

BEER! It's not just for breakfast anymore!

The gang at Sandestin has a great track record of starting all kinds of fun festivals. Usually they start small and grow over the years. That is exactly what has happened with the annual Baytowne Beer Festival. It started small but has grown quicker than most, not suprising given the average American's love affair with the sudsy beverage.

In just five short years the festival has grown to be one of the most sussessful and most loved by locals and visitors. Sponsored by SoWal.com once again - come on out and join us for a toast at the Village of Baytowne Wharf Oct. 19 - 20.

You'll have the opportunity to sample American specialty beers from around the nation. The event features more than 100 domestic and international beers and 40 craft brewers.

Beers
Known as the “Best Beer Fest on the Emerald Coast,” the festival includes a wide range of beers varying in strength and style. From light pale ales and rich dark stouts to a number of bottled and yet-to-be-released fall beers – beer aficionados will be able to savor the best in beer selections.

A sample of the brewing companies from last year year’s festival includes: Harpoon Brewery, Abita, Grayton Brewery, Sweetwater Brewery, Nola, Merchant D’Uvin and many more. Stay tuned at baytownebeerfestival.com for the 2012 participating breweries to be announced soon.
