Celebrate Mardi Gras at Stinky’s and Red Fish Taco

February 8, 2023 by Abby Eller

Get ready to let loose & celebrate because it's Mardi Gras and it’s all about going big in South Walton!

Gather your krewe, bust out that stash of colorful beads and don your favorite mask, for it’s time to shake it on down to Stinky’s Fish Camp, Stinky’s Bait Shack and Red Fish Taco to revel in the festivities. The party starts Thursday, February 16th and the gluttony doesn’t stop ‘til Fat Tuesday comes around. Featuring delicious creole and Cajun cuisine, boozy beverages, and soul-stirring music, you’re guaranteed to let the good times roll!

Known for throwing legendary parties with a flourish of Louisiana, Stinky’s Fish Camp and Stinky’s Bait Shack will transform into 30A’s Original Mardi Gras Headquarters making this the perfect time to get a taste of the Big Easy. Stinky’s Mardi Gras Menu is a special festival season-based fare and will be served up beginning 4PM on Friday.

Chow down on house-smoked boudin links, crawfish bread, trout meunière or indulge in their daily low country seafood boil. Choose between shrimp, snow crab or crawfish served with grilled Mexican corn, new potatoes, lemon & drawn butter. YUM! Whatever dish you choose, be sure to pair it with one of Stinky’s fabulous frozen drink options or an ultimate bloody mary. You will be transported right back to the French Quarter!

And remember, no Mardi Gras celebration is complete without a slice of king cake – that beloved oval-shaped braided confection, smothered with white icing and sugar sprinkles that salute the official colors of Mardi Gras: Green for faith, purple for justice, and gold for power.

Mardi Gras is one of the world's most care-free and fascinating parties, and the celebration wouldn't be possible without music. This year’s lineup features SoWal heavyweights, Dread Clampitt, Forrest Williams Band, and Franco Washboard Jackson’s Twelfth Night Mardi Gras Band.
