Chili Vibrations World Music Festival & Chili Cookoff Oct 2-4

Back for the second year at Pier Park in Panama City Beach is the Chili Vibrations World Music Festival, sponsored by SoWal.com. From the very first note played last year, it became one of our favorite area events, featuring live reggae (and world music), art, apparel, and a wide variety of food. The chili cookoff features an outstanding competition among teams from local restaurants and assorted citizen teams.

The festival kicks off with a pre-party at Spinnaker Beach Club on Oct. 2 at 7 PM. The main festival officially begins at 11 AM, Saturday Oct. 3 (gates opening at 10 AM) with the ICS sanctioned chili cook-off competition and the first act hitting the stage at 11 AM.   

Last year the festival was in Mid-November on an uncommonly cold (freezing) weekend. This year the festival has been moved up to the more predictable weather of October when it is typically excellent along the Florida panhandle.
 

Day two on Sunday, Oct. 3 continues the jams with the first act hitting the stage at 11 AM (gates open at 10 AM) and concluding at 7 PM.

Chili Vibrations World Music Festival features national acts including Rebelution, G Love and Special Sauce, The Wailers, Roots Underground, and complimented by popular acts; Heritage, LeilaniWolfgramm, El Dub, Hor!zen, Sway Jah Vu, and Yamadeo.

Vendor retail village and full service food and beverage options for all festival goers. Portion of the proceeds go to benefit Beach Arts Coalition, a local nonprofit for the arts.
