Cinco de Mayo Block Party at La Cocina May 4

La Cocina Mexican Grill and Bar will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a block party on Sunday May 4 from 2-7pm. The restaurant’s courtyard will come alive with music, face painting, family friendly games, drink specials, and chef inspired dishes.

Drink specials include $5 house margaritas, $7 Cazadores Blanco margaritas, and $3 Mexican-imported beers. Chef Ben Lillard has crafted specialty dishes for the occasion, such as:        

Fried Soft Shell Crab Quesadillas with queso fresca and lime remoulade 
Fried Lobster Taco served with 5 ounce lobster tail in a homemade corn tortilla served with coleslaw, queso fresca, chipotle lime buerre blanco dipping sauce, and Mexico City potato fritters. Fried Cheesecake 

                      
In addition to the Block Party, La Cocina will offer food and drink specials in the restaurant Sunday from 11am-9pm. Cinco de Mayo festivities will continue on Monday, May 5 with specials running during lunch from 11am-3pm and dinner from 5pm-9pm.

Admission to the block party is free and open to the public. Reservations for lunch and dinner are not accepted. Parties are seated on a first come, first served basis.

La Cocina Mexican Grill and Bar serves Tex-Mex fare with a coastal twist. Nestled between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach, La Cocina boasts a fun, festive atmosphere with friendly service. Dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, and the full bar pours some of the best drinks along 30A, including house-made margaritas.
