Grayton Artists Host First Thursday Art Walk March 6
March 2, 2014 by SoWal Staff
Grayton Beach is SoWal's oldest beach town with incomparable natural beauty, unique charm, and amazing art galleries! First Thursday Art Walk is a monthly series of events hosted by Grayton Beach artists beginning on March 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Several Grayton Beach artists recently banded together to form Grayton Artist Collective. The artists have working art studios and galleries in North Grayton Beach at Mystic Porte and The Shops of Grayton along Logan Lane (just north of Scenic 30A on Hwy 293). The group includes Andy Saczynski, Mary Hong, Justin Lyons, Chandler Williams, Allison Craft, and Nicole Paloma.
Come out to meet the artists, get an up close look at the latest pieces, paintings, photography, fashions, jewelry, glass art and some of the most unique works you'll find anywhere, right here in Grayton Beach. Stroll between shops and enjoy the evening. Refreshments served.
Mystic Porte Galleries
Andy Saczynski Studio Gallery
Andy Saczynski's work can be classified as outsider or folk art, and he specializes in assemblage art. As he likes to say, he turns junk into funk! (South Walton Artist of the Year 2013).
J. Lyons Gallery
Justin Lyons is a self taught contemporary mixed media artist. His work is hand constructed and narrative, springing from personal introspection. His work has been featured in galleries across the U.S. as well as being featured in art/lifestyle magazines.
Chandler Williams has enjoyed his passion of photography for over 13 years now. Camera in hand, from dark rooms to digital, Modus Photography is how he continues to share his years of captured moments. Chandler is South Walton Photographer of the Year 2014.
Shops of Grayton Galleries
Nicole Paloma's flagship store of hand sewn originals. Nicole's stylish ambiance radiates out the door with fabric flying everywhere. Meet a down-to-earth girl who loves her sewing machine!
Mary Hong Studio and Gallery
A creative glass freak since 1999, her work graces the walls and rooms of many of Florida’s finest homes and establishments, with one-of-a-kind glass panels, wall and window mosaics, and mixed media glass creations. Mary is South Walton Artist of the Year 2014.
Allison Craft Jewelry Designs
Home of the pearl and leather combo with hand tooled metal and semi-precious stones. Her one of a kind pieces are represented in boutiques from all over the U.S. (South Walton Artist of the Year 2012).
