New Year's Celebrations in South Walton

Fonville Press at Alys Beach is having a New Year's Eve Day Gathering, 11 a.m. – 1p.m.The menu features grilled cheese sandwiches and delicious potato and Andouille chowder. Music by Kyle LaMonica.

Countdown Seaside begins at 7 p.m. and features street performers, live music, children’s activities and a spectacular firework display at the stroke of midnight. Headlining their celebration is Grammy-nominated group The David Mayfield Parade followed by Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers.

At Pier Park at Panama City Beach an 800-pound glowing beach ball drops more than 100 feet ushering in the New Year. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. A kid’s beach ball drop will be held at 8 p.m. for those who want to make an early night of it.

New Year's Eve on Bourbon Street at V seagrove -  Featuring a delectable menu of cured salmon and blue crab and Creole lobster and caviar bisque. Take advantage of this last feast as V seagrove will be closed Jan. 1-12. There will be two seatings. The first will be four courses for $95 and begins at 6 p.m. The second seating will be five courses and $125. Mojo Rising is providing the dance music. For reservations call 850 468 0973.

Maries' Bistro is offering a special three-course meal and live music and dancing next door at Marie's Barside. All you can eat and drink specials for a fixed price.

First Note Music Hall is rolling out the dance floor, 9 p.m. - 1 .a.m. No reserved seating. Music by Kaci Bolls, Joanna Cotten, Geoff McBride, Davin McCoy and The Coming Attractions and Ray Scott. Cost: $75.

27th Annual Hilton Sandestin Beach New Year's Eve Gala is in the Emerald Ballroom. An elaborate dinner buffet features the finest regional cuisine and a wide array of decadent desserts. Live music by Nashville's renowned party band, Ten Most wanted. Tickets: $329 per couple and may be purchased by calling (850) 267-9500.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf’s end-of-year party starts when Benjy Davis plus members of Hightide Blues take the stage at 8 p.m. Upcoming artist Matthew Mayfield rings in the New Year beginning at 10:30 p.m. The biggest fireworks show of the year lights up the sky at midnight.

George's at Alys Beach is featuring two seatings, and Chef Gregg has created a very yummy special menu for the night.

Cafe Thirty-A is celebrates with a three-course Prix Fixe dinner with champagne toast. Cost: $90.

Chan's Wine World Destin, Grand Boulevard and WaterColor, is celebrating “Next Year” with a complimentary glass of bubbly and a specially prepared menu. Cost is $49.99 with a special selection of wines at New Year’s Eve pricing.

Everyone is invited to the free HarborWalk Village Street Party featuring Andy Velo Band. Watch the 4th annual ball drop and fireworks show over the Destin Harbor at midnight. A dinner show themed "Viva Vegas in the Emerald Grande ballroom features Ron Adams as Elvis and The Yat Pack. At the HarborView Room a "Luxe Vegas" style gaming event featuring Kendall Shelton and the jazz ensemble.
