Rivard by Ocean Reef Vacation Rentals Transformation Underway

Rivard of South Walton in Grayton Beach was acquired by Ocean Reef Vacation Rentals to meet  increased demand for rental homes and condominiums in SoWal. The two vacation rental companies have been serving South Walton for more than 30 years. Now they are blending values, integrity, and local longevity to a combined access of more than 550 vacation rentals from Destin to Panama City Beach.

Proffitt PR & Destin Commons Coordinating Hurricane Michael Relief in Okaloosa County

Several local businesses have come together in order to gather supplies and raise funds for those directly affected by Hurricane Michael.

The Category 4 storm caused an overwhelming amount of damage to Panama City, Panama City Beach, Mexico Beach, Lynn Haven, and Apalachicola, Fla. Since it’s devastating landfall on October 10, locals have jumped at the opportunity to help aid relief efforts in any way possible.  

Borago in Grayton Beach is Charming & Delicious

Nostalgic and charming, Borago opened its doors in March of 2000 with the focus of bringing fresh, coastal-Italian cuisine in a modern-trattoria style to SoWal.

Together creatively since 1992, Chef/Owners Michael Dragon and Mark Anton were both educated at the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University. In the late nineties a friend invited them down to South Walton and when they caught sight of the hidden gem of a building that is Borago’s bones, they knew it was kismet.

Walton County Florida Real Estate Report for August 2018

The most recent SoWal Real Estate Report covers all of Walton County including South Walton real estate activity for August 2018, with statistics for single family homes, townhomes, and condos in Walton County, Florida.

Single family closed sales were down 14% for August compared to the same month last year. The number of pending sales for Walton County was up 9.3%. Inventory was up 0.4%, dropping for the 16th month in a row. Median sales price was up 5.7%. Dollar volume decreased 26.8% over last year at $144.8 Million.
