723 Whiskey Bravo Rises in the Heart of Seagrove

On the spot where the old Wheelhouse Restaurant stood for many years has risen a modern restaurant/bar in the heart of Seagrove. They hope to be ready to have a soft opening this weekend. The classic and clean lines of the building seem to fit right in with the mod cottages across the street at Seagrove Villas Motel.

Editor's Note - Skip & Victoria decided to close 723 Whiskey Bravo in May 2020.

Cocoon's Fine Foods is a Seagrove Tradition

In March, Cocoon’s on Scenic Highway 30A in Seagrove Beach will begin its 19th year.

Seven days a week, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., owners/chefs Mike and Linda LaDow make the long trip—a flight of stairs down from their residence over the shop—to prepare and serve three meals a day to a devoted following.

Their tastes and backgrounds prepared them for their job running one of the area’s best-known and most popular dining spots.

V in Seagrove - A Landmark Rises

While it may be too early to make a reservation at Hotel Viridian, on March 11 patrons can enjoy dinner at V, the restaurant destined to be a springboard for rest of the Downtown Seagrove hotel project.

“This project has been in the making for over five years,” says co-owner and veteran restaurateur George Hartley.

“My partners and I consider it a beacon of hope for the community – and a true blessing that we’re able to see our vision realized.”

Gravel Road Makes Smooth Move To Seagrove

When Jesse Hart relocated Gravel Road to a more visible spot in Seagrove Beach, it was more than just a change of address.

Chef Hart also created what he describes as a practical menu with moderate prices where people could dine more frequently.

While Hart might have lowered prices, he certainly didn’t lower his standards for food quality, service or ambiance.

The new locale also has the feel of fine dining with dark walls, muted lighting and tasteful music, he also retained servers with knowledge and skills that enhance the enjoyment of the meal.
