The second annual RUN WATERSOUND will take place on Sunday, October 30th with two new event distances.  In addition to the 5K, this year’s event will feature a 10K and a kids’ fun run for those under 12 years old. All races will begin and end at the Watersound Town Center with a flat scenic course through the paths and street of the Watersound Origins community.

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) presents the annual Festival of the Arts October 29 & 30, 2022, an entire weekend of art, music, food and fun for everyone. The area's premiere fine arts festival takes place at the MKAF Cultural Arts Village in Destin, Florida. Free for all attendees.  More info at: Arts Festival.

Walton County has officially designated October as Coastal Dune Lake Month. This is a new designation, and is a welcome addition to our calendar with many ways to honor our unique SoWal Coastal Dune Lakes through education and activities.

Enjoy locals’ favorite season with weekly and special events in September & October - Grand Boulevard at Sandestin is back with a month-long celebration of the season, with new weekly events and entertainment for the entire family. Most of the events are free and open to the public.

Support Friends of Eden Gardens State Park Spooky by attending classic films played on an outdoor screen under the oak trees at Eden Gardens State Park. The event is free with paid park admission ($4 per vehicle). Films will be shown on the lawn near the pavilion and guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, bug spray and coolers.
