South Walton Fashion Week (SWFW) announces nine emerging designer finalists who will compete on the runway with individual shows next Thursday, Friday and Saturday October 9, 10 and 11th in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin’s Town Center.
The annual Seaside Repertory Theatre Membership Party will once again be held at the beautiful Gulf front home, "Sea Sabella" in Seaside, Florida - sponsored by Sunburst Beach Vacations! The 51st Annual Florida Seafood Festival - a two-day celebration of fresh seafood, music, and art - draws thousands of visitors to the historic town of Apalachicola on Florida's Forgotten Coast. The event will be held at the mouth of the Apalachicola River under the shady oaks of Apalachicola's Battery Park Oct. 31 - Nov. 1, 2014.

Stinky's Bait Shack is busy planning for their first annual Stinky's Beach to Bay, Grand Slam Fishing Tournament coming up Oct. 4 through Nov 15, 2014. To kick off the tournament, Stinky's Oyster Festival will be held next door at Stinky's Fish Camp on October 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Friends of Eden Gardens State Park presents the first ever Eden's Vintage Florida Film Series this October. Films will be shown on the lawn and under the live oaks near the stage along the shore of Tucker Bayou. All movies being presented were filmed in Florida, namely the finale film (Oct. 29), Frogs which was filmed at Eden Gardens State Park.
Save the date for this year’s fourth annual Emerald Coast Duck Regatta benefiting the Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast Guild. On Saturday, Oct. 11, approximately 4,000 ducks will begin their race across the Lagoon at the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Prizes will be awarded to the owners of the first ducks to cross the finish line, including a $5,000 first-place prize!
