Halloween Masquerade Party & Costume Contest at Trebeaché on Saturday October 29 from 6-11pm at the upstairs haunted ballroom in the heart of Blue Mountain Beach. The 7th annual Nashville Songwriters Florida Sunshine Tour brings top songwriters to The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin this October 7-8, 2016. Singer songwriters will perform at restaurants and venues throughout the Village for two incredible nights of music.

The seventh annual event, sponsored by Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) and hosted by Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, will showcase ten or more Nashville songwriters who will sing country’s biggest hits and share the stories behind the songs.

The Inaugural 30A Craft Beer & Spirits Festival will be at Gulf Place on Sep 30 and Oct 1, 2016. Formerly known as The Destin Beer Festival, the popular and tasty event has attracted over 1,000 craft beer & spirits lovers to our area each year with 100% of the proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations. This year the benefiting charity will be the beloved Seaside School Foundation.

The 12th Annual Hurricane Party will take place Friday, September 23 from 6:30-10:00 pm at Bud & Alley's Restaurant in Seaside, FL with all proceeds benefiting Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). The night will be filled with entertainment along with the amazing views, food, beverages, dancing and fun that Bud and Alley’s is famous for, the event will also feature a live and silent auction. Keeping the tempo on the Emerald Coast’s cultural scene since its founding in 2005, Sinfonia Gulf Coast maintains the tradition of “symphony redefined” as it enters its 11th season as the region’s only fully professional symphony orchestra. Season 11, entitled RETROSPECTIVE, will offer a stellar lineup of concerts and educational initiatives featuring the orchestra and world-renowned guest artists.

When the SoWal staff does lunch at Steamboat Grill, we hardly need a menu and often go straight for the crave-worthy Buffalo Shrimp Salad. The always excellent burger and fries is another sure thing.
