While there are tons of great activities and events all Summer during the busy season, the major festivals are in the off season in Spring and Fall. That's great for locals and visitors. If you’ve ever driven down Scenic 30A through Seaside, then chances are you've seen one or more of the Seaside pavilions on the Gulf.
They are beautiful and enticing. They may be the most photographed architecture in South Walton, and they are also quite significant to SoWal’s history and architectural story. The nine pavilions help make our community stand out from other beach destinations, and each structure is unique in appearance and designed by a different architect.

Sowal is blessed to have access to some of the best seafood in the country, and our plump, salty, luscious oysters are among the finest in the world. Most come from Apalachicola Bay but when conditions aren't perfect there we get them in from Texas. Eat them raw on a Saltine cracker or delicately baked with gourmet ingredients.
