Latin and local cuisine join hands at LaCo (formerly La Cocina), one of South Walton's favorite Mexican restaurants with a coastal twist. Fresh, specialty dishes meet casual fun with family and friends in this can't-miss dining spot right by the beach.

Locally caught seafood, grass-fed beef, and produce sourced from local farmers make up LaCo's light, fresh flavor that’s not your typical Mexican cuisine. The Latin-inspired menu beautifully complements the restaurant's upscale casual décor.

Highlights from the menu include the Ribeye Asado, ten types of tacos so you can try a little of everything, and the Pescado Del Dia, a fresh fish entree featuring a rotating catch to provide you with the freshest seafood available. La Cocina sources directly from Greg Abrams Seafood in Panama City, and fresh catches are delivered within twenty-four hours of pulling them off the boat.

If you're looking to take a chance, try the Shishito Peppers. These traditional Latin American peppers known as Patron Peppers or "Gambling Peppers" are a novelty at LaCo. One in every ten peppers is hot and the rest are mild. The kitchen crew cooks them on high heat with oil and salt and serves them with a sweet guajillo-honey glaze, so whether hot or mild, you're in for a treat.

LaCo's crowd favorites include enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, and quesadillas. The bar offers some of the best drinks along Scenic 30A, like house-made mojitos, sangrias, and a selection of fresh-squeezed lime margaritas. Creative cocktails include the Strawberry Basil Margarita for a twist on the ordinary.

Looking for a delicious deal? LaCo has happy hour daily from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Enjoy $5 margaritas, $5 select wines, $2 off beers, and half-priced appetizers.
