Austin Jennings @ Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar

Originally from beautiful Scottsboro, AL located in the Tennessee Valley, Austin Jennings has always shown a great interest in music of many genres. In 2004 Austin moved to San Diego, CA where he surrounded himself with local musicians and was immersed in the local music culture. Austin picked up his first guitar in 2005 and never put it down.

After moving back to North Alabama in 2009 and playing locally for a few years, Austin relocated to the Florida Panhandle where he plays weekly on the Emerald Coast. Austin describes his music style as “singer-songwriter/country/alternative”

Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar is a  Gulf view restaurant featuring classic coastal cuisine, stunning views and authentic southern hospitality. The restaurant and bar is named after the hard-to-find “shunk gulley” reef in the Gulf of Mexico. The intersection of Highway 393 and 30A served as a point of navigation for boaters along the coast.

Once used as a landmark for the legendary fisherman of South Walton, the new Shunk Gulley bar and restaurant hopes to be a mainstay for locals to gather, visitors to enjoy, all while continuing the legacy of conservation.
