No, this photo is nothing - it just looks like a big pimple in comparison. The cellulitis on the person I know covers his neck from his chin to his collarbone, like a big, multi-layered tumor. Probably 4" x 4" and at least 1" deep. The cellulitis diagnosis has been verified by the VP of our institution.

Ughh. What kind of parents wouldn't address the issue?! Jeez, can you imagine him going on a job interview one day with a necktie providing just enough pressure to get the juices flowing?

Poor guy. Imagine how he must feel. Like a :trainwreck: most likely, especially when alienated. Certainly some of your students must have acne. Looks like they might be ingrown hair follicles. You know he must pick up on how strongly you feel about his germs. He probably already feels like a freak. When you're blessed with smooth skin, you really don't know how blessed you are. Like you said you probably get just as many germs at Houston's if not more. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they are not there. :yikes: This is a young person. Do you think he likes his bumps? Do you think he wouldn't do anything to get rid of those bumps? Do you know how this could affect his self-esteem? You even have a picture of his neck bumps:dunno:   Give the poor kid a break! Have you ever had a student with HIV?

 Maybe his parents are broke or dead? Maybe he saw a doctor who was obviously disgusted by him and decided to never go back for further treatment in fear of being embarassed, possibly even in front of female nurses. You never know what other folks are going through. :dunno:

Johnrudy....I remember you having this knee problem a long time ago. Did you see a Dr. then? This sounds really awful and I hope you see a specialist right away. Be careful of Aleve, Advil, etc. I took large quantities and messed up my stomach big time. I now have to take Darvocet N for any aches and pains. Doesn't work the same.

Yes, I did at that time... had an xray to rule out a possible blood clot. So this was obviously the beginning of something more serious. I woke up at 2am, took a handful of Ibuprofen with a tall glass of water. I had no other choice. This pain is like no other I've ever experienced. And I'm no baby when it comes to pain. I gave birth to a 9.5 lb. baby - - natural, no drugs, 18 hrs. of labor.
I got my ortho. app't moved up to this afternoon. I'm thinking this HAS to be something torn. I'm also asking for some kind of pain meds. too!

Anyone else feeling kind of sick from all these pictures and descriptions?

I wouldn't last a day in medicine, the only hemorrhaging I can see is from bank accounts. But that makes me a little ill too. Must lie down...
