OMG! What do I wear?

IMO, deliberately wearing a designer's clothes to a small intimate dinner is a no-no, attending a party that they just happen to also be at and wearing their clothes is a conversation point/flattering, and their clothes (or at least NOT their competitors') SHOULD be worn to a fashion show/party for them.

In an extreme example, Tori & Candi Spelling used to keep a limo parked at Bryant Park so they could change outfits between shows and not commit the faux pas of going to a designer's show wearing another designer's clothes.

Kay Unger is a seasoned designer, so if someone has and loves and her clothing, like BB, I think she would enjoy seeing her wear something of hers appropriate for the occassion, especially if the woman wears it well.
I think any designer would feel that way.

Ok, I'm wearing a dark charcoal grey fitted skirt, black knee high boots, no hose, black fab top with a big ballerina style neck with 3/4 sleeves, big black baroque tahitian pearls, Doris Panos (one of my fav jewelry designers) black tahitian pearl earrings, and to top that off.....a fuschia pink pashmina scarf! ;-) I can always go home at lunch and change again.

If you could see what I have on right now, you would not even think frumpy, think of old with paint, and it has nothing to with being artistic but clumsy.

Kinda like that Brad Paisley video, I always look better online.

Of course if you are wearing that shirt in the avatar then yes that is definitely frumpy.:funn:
