Thanks, but I am abstaining from political stickers. I still say Mitt is going to be the GOP nominee. He has been getting the most positive press of the candidates from the bobble heads like Hannity, and he is the only one with the experience of turning numbers from red to black in the private sector. I think most every American wants a leader who has the economy of the US in his focus, and Mitt seems to be focusing on this.

Yard sign then?

We'll see what happens today. If McCain wins SC, then the press will say that he is the front runner. However, he won't get all of the SC delegates--they will be split between McCain and Huckabee, with one or two going to Thompson and Romney. In Nevada, Romney looks like he will be getting all of the 36 delegates. Romney is way ahead in the delegate count now and ahead in the popular vote count. And he is the only candidate to have delegates in every state that has held an election/caucus. Just wait for the media spin though--Romney's campaign will be characterized as "in trouble." Romney is the true front runner in terms of delegates and actual votes.

ecopal, what do you think about the video? They showed part of it on the Jay Leno Show last night. I find it interesting that Mitt was willing to debate the issue with the reporter. I think the other candidates would have kicked him out of the store or had him tazed. Personally, I think its good that the reporter has the guts to ask the question, and that Romney has the balls to not just smash him, but clarify his statement. Romney is just a politician, trying to target audiences with this or that information. Truth is they all juggle the truth and walk the gray line. I think that Romney handled it better than most candidates would have. I am a little surprised that the candidates don't put a few reporters with contrary views in their press meetings. They already know the questions which will be asked, and they could answer the questions focusing on the good points. I think it would win more audiences, and give a greater perception of balance, rather than the one-sided question and answer series we are used to seeing.

The reporter said it was all semantics, and that a lobbyist was running the campaign. I know he is at least right on part of it, poliTRICKS is all semantics.

The latest Rusmussen Reports Poll has Mitt leading in Florida with 25%, MCain at 20%, Guiliani at 19%, Huckabee at 13%

I truly believe that Mitt Romney is the best person to lead our country based on his economic experience and his leadership.

Go Mitt!

If he is the Republican candidate, and he does win the election, I only hope he reverts back into more of the liberal Massachusettes Governor, we once knew and truly loved.

DELEGATE COUNT:

Needed: 1,191
Romney: 72
McCain: 38
Huckabee: 29
Thompson: 8
Paul: 6
Giuliani: 2
Hunter: 1

Florida has 57 delegates. Currently these are approportioned by districts, but it is on the agenda to change the rules to all or nothing on the 2nd of Feb. If Romney wins this will be a major boost and make him the clear front runner going into Super Tuesday.

Hey GOP--Questions.

1. Can you cross party lines in the Feb. 5th Fla. vote?

2. Also, if you are not registered officially as either a Republican or Democrat, can you still vote?
