Honestly, I don't see what's so harmful or offensive about her position on allowing information from varying viewpoints.

What is harmful is that U.S. Educational System (the young, our future) is once again denying science from the TOP down, ignoring scientific information on global climate change, putting the U S at risk of falling behind the Chinese, Indian and Russians educationally, even further, while we explore wichcraft, hokus pokus, and all sorts of inconvenient truths.

Likening Christianity to hokus pocus is not really necessary in this argument. You don't have to agree with Christians wanting Christian concepts in public school, but you do need to be respectful of the religion.

Go back and read what she's saying. You're jumping to conclusions. I agree with you on creationism vs. science, but you are reading into this, way way way too much. Your politiks are showing my friend.

No, you are wrong. She says "Growing up with being so privileged and blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the subject " Creationism is not another side or a counter argument to evolution. It is in a completely different category from evolution. It is not science. It should not be taught alongside evolution. Maybe in some non-required philosophy course.

Creationism is backed by scientific data and I think it is a great idea to teach them both. You can read more on another thread of the same subject.

At best there have been attempts to negate evolution with preposterous strawman arguments. Hardly scientific.
