okay, dunelover, I've heard people say that juicing is really great for many reasons, and the biggie is energy levels skyrocket with so many nutrients and liquids that our bodies so crave.

I would love to hear from those who enjoy juicing and why. and how.

I love the idea because I am just not a fruit & veggie person at all. I eat them. But, its very hard for me to get more than a few servings a day. I cannot stand raw veggies, except a really good really fresh salad.

But, I have had some juices, prepared by experienced juicers, that are delicious!

What do ya'll know about this form of food? Thanks Dunelover for the thread and keep adding your know how. so glad its working for you.

who the hail is aroid?

Some major league baseball player with the nick name of "A-rod" admitted to steroid use today. He had a fling with Madonaa, but I couldn't tell you his real name. So I am going to call him "A-roid" now.

In fact, some reporter just asked Obama about it during the press conference. Like we don't have enough real issues to worry about than A-roid's 'roid use.

I've got a Breville Ikon Juicer that is just wonderful. But I don't juice much. It's easier to run to Publix and get some Naked Juice. But when I do juice, I end up using both the juicer and the blender. I do my juicing, poor it into the blender and then add frozen berries and sometimes raw oatmeal and peanut butter. That way it's thicker and I get all kinds of good stuff including fiber.

We keep saying we're going to buy a ggod juicer & haven't. We had a crappy one that a non-juicing family member gave to me a few Christmases ago & it died. I love juicing, & will have juice for my breakfast.... when we finally get around to buying it. I do not like eating solid food right when I get up & I know I need to consume something beyond coffee for the first 2 hours I'm up.

Me too, OM. I don't get hungry until around 10am and by then I'm starving and will eat anything fast and disgusting. :bang:We have a Jack Lalanne juicer that Mr. DD bought me for Christmas about 4 years ago. We juiced like hell the first 6 months but haven't used it in forever. You all have inspired me to get it out, dust it off, and give it a whirl again. I do remember that I really liked the juices. Some more than others. I don't care what you do to broccoli, it's just yucky, but I guess I could choke it down if it was drowning and disguised in tomato, garlic and spinach, maybe. :dunno:

Can't you juice anything with the Jack Lalanne juicer? Who's up for a brownie, twinky, ho-ho, and ding-dong shake?

I don't have a juicer ...not yet...but I'm addicted to Odwalla carrot juice and buy it whenever it is on sale. For some reason I'll pay $6 but won't spring for $8. I pulverize oatmeal in my bullet blender, add carrot juice, and whatever fruit I have around...strawberries..melon,then a couple cubes. YUM I will get a juicer one day!

My favorite is apple and carrot with a little bit of celery thrown in. Three different colors - it has to be good.

As for feeling energy level increases, etc., not me. It represents an easier way to ingest veggies and fruit. I guess it is still good for you. Look at Jack. He has to be at least 115 or so.
