what gun are you referring to? can you not hunt deer with any one of thousands of bolt actions or lever actions? the issue here is a weapons class capable of easy conversion to allow massive rate of fire. we don't argue about class three weapons do we? then why get tied in a knot over the military arsenal stuff. you don't need/ can't justify it outside of marksmanship.

Re-read the post Bob, its not about the ak47, that's just the start. Do you honestly think this will slow down the criminals?

That argument is so tired. Since I don't engage in illegal activities it doesn't concern me nearly as much as the guy in the town home down the street that might finally act on his racist inclinations. He isn't a criminal until he blows a couple of people away.

You want to talk about a tired argument, take away law abiding citizens constitutional rights because some guy "might" act on racist inclinations. Why not take away his car that he might run you over with, his steak knife that he could stab you with, his baseball that he might....I think even you might get the drift. The bottom line gay boy is that anyone with criminal intent that wants to buy a gun and blow your ass away will, no matter what the law says. You don't need protection from law abiding citizens. I think that a government that is too powerful is a much bigger threat than my owning a gun.

There is no changing the fact that there are many guns whose intended purpose is to kill people and commit crimes with them.

What is so wrong with getting rid of those weapons, making people register them, or having basic restrictions about who can own them - like barring convicted felons or mentally ill people from purchasing them? :dunno:

The government isn't trying to take away everyone's guns - they're trying to lower the body count and make us all safer.

Actually, Bob, the correct term is Title II- Class 3 refers to the dealer designation, and I own several. They are quite legal and available. And yes, defending liberty from those who would take it away is the only reason I own any weapon. Self-defense and hunting are incidental.

Defending liberty against those who take it away? Give me a break! If you were so worried about "liberty" you would be politically active, protesting, and aggressively trying to change law and policy, not stocking up on ammo!

Your lame "defense" attempt is going to end the same way - with you dead, wounded, or on your way to prison.

I'll back US law enforcement against a wack-a-doo any day of the week!

A persistent and passionate individual legally fighting against the court system or career politicos - that one's anyone's game!

i know all the terms john, and fortunately full auto owners are not mainstream. the defending liberty excuse doesn't cut it with me. you guys are all trying to make up for something severely lacking in your lives.
