the airport in Detroit...no place to sit at the gate areas! There are very few places that I can't find something to like--but, I will fly lots of miles out of my way to avoid this airport.

My parents took us there when I was 12. I was aghast that this is what my parents thought international travel was. We went in August so it was a comfortable 98 degrees in the shade. We sampled some fine hillybilly chocolate and considered purchasing a coo coo clock.
I found out many years later that we went as a joke. :roll:

I LOVE your parents' sense of humor.
We went there too
..........got drunk down by the creek on a cheap bottle of wine....I think I was 16 or 17. Had to hide my silliness from my Mother. I hear it's more better now.
