My sister regularly travels for work in areas that get big giant State Department travel warnings. She thought it was both hilarious and freaky that the advance team gave them a list of 'no-go' locations in Perry just like they would in Syria or Lebanon.

The only reason I didn't mention it up thread is because I would some day like to drive that stretch of US 19 again to take pictures of all the rural decay along the route.

When I was growing up we used to stay at a camp in Little Woods In New Orleans East called "The Rat's Nest." Don't remember much about it except there was no air conditioning, you could see the disgusting lake water through the slates in the floor and one year I caught a gar fish. We actually swam in that polluted water in Lake Pontchartrain. But the worst place ATLANTA, GA!
