How about if you REALLY want Obama to lose in 2012 you find a decent candidate to run against him - instead of hoping/helping our country decline to the point where any alternate candidate will have a chance?

Frankly I worry much more about corporate agendas and levels of idiocy and ineptitude I am seeing, than I do about pulling the same lever in 2012 that I did in 2008.

Maybe, just maybe, the best thing for our country is not your "team" setting the stage for a "victory" because we have been suffering for years. Maybe the best thing for our country is some politicians w/ cojones whose #1 goal is improving America, not getting contributions, getting reelected, and furthering a partisan agenda.

Worst case, democrats retain control and run the country further towards the cliff. By 2012 people will be even more disgusted and tired of liberals and the conservatives will win the White House and congress. I hope that does not happen because of the continued damage done. But ensuring an Obama defeat in 2012 is almost worth losing this cycle.

Worst case from your point of view would be continued dem majority in house and Senate with strong economic recovery in 2012. Economy , unemployment etc. is based on fiscal policy less than you might think. Two years is enough time for the business cycle to turn around. A strong recovery could validate everything you're against. This scenario is plausible enough for you to be concerned.

Well now, that's most interesting!

It doesn't matter if a new party spun off from either of our two party system. I applaud any organization who has this kind of steam and conviction. Maybe there will be a spin off from the Dems soon. :D
this party is born of the recession/black president. the majority of the tea party members suck at the government teet. the party's existence will weaken the repub's chances much like when the same group of knuckleheads endorsed perot to the detriment of big daddy bush. unemployment is the main concern of americans now. this may come as a surprise to the pt cruiser with stereophonic plastic american flags early bird club.

I don't think it was born of this President. It has gained momentum parallel to this Administration, however.

I don't understand your last sentence, but this is nothing new.......could you translate, please? :D

I agree that big business is as much a threat to our country as big government. I am afraid you misunderstood, I am NOT hoping/helping our country decline, I desperately want to win in November and begin the process of renewing our country. What I said was that if we cannot win this time then I believe things will have deteriorated to the point that 2012 is a cinch. Unfortunately I do not believe we have another 2 years to give the radical liberals who are spending us into bankruptcy.
I absolutely agree that we need to send to Washington, Tallahassee and yes DeFuniak Springs a solid majority of citizens who wish to serve the cause of setting our house in order and promoting a renewal of the American Dream. If those we send this year become more interested in being reelected, getting contributions and furthering a partisan agenda than in furthering the cause of the people then we vote them out and send some different ones.

The extreme right has always hated Kenyan, joker-faced, Hitler mustachioed, Arab, Muslim, socialist, Nazi, intellectual elitist Marxists. Obama is a convenient scapegoat.

Unless someone invents a way to pay down 13 trillion in debt without taxing the middle class and small business into oblivion or causing massive inflation then the situation will be the same or worse. The "recovery summer" is evidence that the policies of this government hamper the business cycle and destroy long- term growth.

The fact is, even with a large national debt, we can have a very strong recovery with lower unemployment, large GDP growth, increasing valuations in the stock market, reasonable inflation. If all those fundamentals are good in 2012, I don't think the debt will be much of an issue. It will take longer than a couple of years for the debt to have that kind of disastrous effect on the economy.

I do think the rapidly mounting debt is an issue, but general recovery and repairing our infrastructure are more important in the short term.

The tea party is a positive development for the Republican party. It is great that finally we are seeing candidates who are different from the establishment. The Democrats and the Republican establishment have almost bankrupted this country over the past 10+ years and it is about time to see small government, small taxes, more personal freedom candidates winning. Hopefully we can get these people to Washington and begin the process of saving this country. If they go to Washington and catch "Potomac Fever" then we will vote them out and send someone else. Sending the same ole same ole is definitely not working.

Then why elect someone like O'Donnell whose can't even take care of her own fiscal matters? who has zilch political experience? Who doesn't stand a chance against Coons? One has to wonder what the teaparty is thinking, or lack of, other than making some kind of statement. I am curious to know what. It certainly wasn't well thought out. Castle would have given Coons a run for his money. I think if it had been an open election in Delaware, O'Connell would have been an afterthought.

I also think if more teaparty members had seen this video, they might have thought twice about electing her. Not for anything, AIDS was prevalent during this time. Discouraging promiscuity, yes, a good thing, the other, seems rather extreme to preach to teenagers.
