dbuck said:It's 11:08 here in KY. Just wanted to say hello and hope your trip is going fabulously dar ling. Pretty quiet around here without you. Can't wait for you to get back. Are you going on the helicopter ride and land on a glacier? I won't ask too many questions, as you only have 250 minutes. I believe this is KDW's last night in paradise, wonder what she is doing tonight? Be Safe. Later.
It is still Friday, I think! Yes dbuck...tomorrow is the big day. First trip on a catamaran to see glaciers in a fijord. Then it takes us to Juneau, where we have 15 minutes to catch the helicopter where we will get out on a glacier! I hope I don't bale on the helicopter...it makes me sweat just thinking about it!
Okay, we had Captain Davey take us out on his aluminum boat, the Esther G. in Sitka today. He was an awesome guide. We saw many many whales. I love when they spout...it sounds so cool. I even smelled whale breath...
. We went all around Sitka Bay and saw eagles, seals, sea lions, puffins, many other birds and....SEA OTTERS! I thought of you RO!!! Mr. K and sarafunn ate a reindeer hot dog for lunch. MS and I ate the last two beef hot dogs...just can't eat Rudolph.I won $50 on a slot machine tonight! Then sarafunn saw all my loot and "borrowed" some and lost. I netted $15.00 for the night. I have about 120 minutes left on my sowal minutes. I was nice and let sarafunn use some to check her emails.
I've been thinking of my Texgent gulls in the Texas heat! It is so nice and cool where I am....wish I could send some down there for y'all!
Meow for now!
Our chillren have designated their father as the excursion king. It was a long but fruitful day here in Juneau! We leave port around 11:00 pm and will head for Skagway. More boats and beauty to see tomorrow!
