@redfisher, it sounds like there is a consensus. According to this board, this withdrawl was executed as best as could be expected and any deaths, fault or blame falls squarely on Trump and the people that were and are still there. Did you expect President Biden to handle this any different or better? If so, you should adjust your expectations accordingly. So sorry but time to move along....
I think you are caught up in the politics. Isis is to blame for those deaths. The previous administration negotiated with the Taliban for the withdrawal. Previous administrations put us at war and continued the war. This administration ended the war. Mistakes happened with each administration including this one. However the bottom line is that we no longer have a military presence in Afghanistan and that is good for many reasons. You do not have to follow the bitterness of our divided political system and you should accept that this needed to happen and it did happen. Hopefully we all grieve the loss of human life. I agree with you that it is time to move on.

I think everyone who regularly voices their opinions in the sowal lounge has made their opinion's known about Biden's execution of the contract Trump signed with the Taliban. Just like everything else it seems it became political. If Biden had torn up the contract and began intense fighting with the Taliban there would have been American lives lost AND he would have been criticized politically and personally. Here is the reality of the State of the Nation. In politics those in power are always damned as in damned if you do and damned if you don't. However in terms of reality President Biden would have been better off following President Obama rather than President Trump. Please share with us who you yourself would rather have followed. Your answer may explain why you complain :)
Biden is Barney Fife, with a wonky gun and one bullet in his breast pocket…

You, on the other hand….

It is not of the man, Biden, but of the nest of prehistoric snakes in The Administration that are running our Garden of Eden into a Garden of Serpents. Hence, The Swamp. Truth. I believe you might be one of these creatures

If Biden is Barney Fife then his administration must be Sheriff Andy based on your logic. Does that suit your logic? BTW I watch Andy Griffith every week :)

The Garden of Eden represents man's transcendence into awareness and therefore consequences for our actions. Therefore we mere mortals (creatures) moved out of the Garden a long long time ago and have been living with the consequences of our actions ever since. You are correct that bad (corruption) exists in man. How we conduct ourselves (behave) separates us into groups. You are letting politics tell you who belongs in these groups. Stop that. Open your eyes and you shall see...

No, I follow well-earned logic and reason…which is why I have a disconnect from the “popular opinion”. I do not follow people’s or politicians, but my own lifelong-earned discernment. I don’t lie to you or me, and I disregard all obvious liars (PC “manipulators of fact”).

You follow overpaid pundits, it's pretty obvious since you can only regurgitate their talking points. You can never form an actual thought or argument on your own, you really give yourself to much credit. Wonder who that sounds like?

Minority Leader McCarthy has recently made statements regarding the January 6th investigation. He has suggested, based on an anonymous report, that the Department of Justice has concluded that Donald Trump did not cause, incite, or provoke the violence on January 6th. When this anonymous report was first published, the Select Committee queried the Executive Branch agencies and congressional committees involved in the investigation. We’ve received answers and briefings from the relevant entities, and it’s been made clear to us that reports of such a conclusion are baseless. We will continue to pursue all elements of this investigation in a nonpartisan and thorough manner. We also remind Minority Leader McCarthy of his statements following January 6th, including his statement from the House Floor on January 13th—which are inconsistent with his recent comments.”
